I finally took mine through a car wash. I did not want to but the weather is TOO cold - 18 degrees - and my Q3 is too dirty - and a brand new soft car wash opened up right by my house. Result: Pretty good job - got all the junk/gunk off mostly.

I have not used a car wash and was concerned about doing it... Since it was freezing here too I went to a self wash. Now that was an experience. Apparently a little water continues to run out of the spray gun at all times and that water had formed quite an ice sculpture around the wand and on the ground. But the place had a large banner saying "open" so I gave it a try. It was functional but I almost needed ice skates to get around to wash the car and before I could dry it all the way some of the water was turning to ice.

The car did look a lot nicer when done but by 3-4 days later it was all dirty again anyway as winter is non stop. So probably not worth doing much cleaning this winter if this keeps up.

Haha, I know the feeling of trepidation before that FIRST time.

Took my wife's Q3 to the roll-through car wash yesterday....the results from the soft wash were excellent. I don't plan to make it a habit, but in the long run I think were smarter to get all the road grim/grit/dirt/chemicals off the car before they cause more damage to the finish than any car wash would.

As mentioned under the Sprint Booster thread, I installed the device last Friday. So far I have left it on RED and in addition to driving to work and back (roughly 6 miles each way) I went out for a short test drive Sunday. My first impression is that it's definitely zippier, more responsive and I'm very pleased. We've had more rain and snow and the roads are still strewn with "sanding" (aka small rocks) here and there, so I'm not too inclined to be speed racer at this point. More testing will occur when conditions are better...which might be June the way this El Nino year is going. I have a 30-day money back guarantee on the device but I can say based upon the data I have so far it's not going back!

You did and you were RIGHT. I've laid on the gas a few times on the way to work and back, and found the car really responds. This is a great mod!! And there's a bit of added satisfaction from doing the self install. :)
