I thought that changing the wheel diameter coding was possible. does anyone know how to do that?

Not sure what you mean - 35s or 37s? No, really - I don't know of any coding to accomplish this as I don't know why you'd want to - when/if you change wheel diameter, you should be changing tire size/profile too, to get the SAME OD so that no coding needs to be changed anyway.

the scenario is if someone wants to go way smaller in diameter or larger than what is stock.
lets say maybe 17inchs with 30 or 35 profile tires.

or

someone might go with 22 inch diameter rims.

THAT is beyond reasonable expectations for these cars, so then you'll have to deal with speedometer error and calculate the error for yourself...

Who would think a Q3 would even look like a car with 17" 30 profile rubber or - worse 22" wheels ???
