It is obvious from the fascinating complaints I hear that we are all pretty privileged.....not just to own a Q3, but just privileged in general.
Don't get me wrong, I love a lively discussion about the good and bad, but having just spent my once-a-month week working with homeless and disabled veterans who are just looking for a little acknowledgement from their nation and a chance to reclaim their now broken lives, the discussion of memory seats just seems a little unimportant to those who are unable to drive a car because of the disabilities they incurred defending their country.
This is not meant to be a buzz kill, merely a reminder to myself what I find important. Yes, it is a bit of rant that probably doesn't belong on this forum, but to the young Marine I saw this morning who will never again have a chance to drive anything faster than his wheelchair, memory seats are just not needed.
There's a saying that's been around awhile, but it's probably one we can all reflect on as we enjoy our Q3s: "America is not at war. The Marine Corps is at war; America is at the mall."
I'm sure I'll want to delete this post in an hour or so, but by then it will be too late....oh well.
Carry on.....
