I got my front passenger window smashed last evening. It's faster for me to go to an aftermarket auto glass service for replacement. Is there any reason I should be going to the dealer instead? BTW, this is a lease.

A real post buried among the spam. Probably why you haven’t gotten a response.

I have never leased but I have had windows replaced. Just a few weeks ago I had my BMW’s windshield replaced by Safelite. I was worried but it fits great, is distortion free and all the built in sensors work fine. They came to my house the next day and were done in 2 hours. It was our second Safelite windshield done at home and both were fine.

It is probably a Comprehensive Claim and hopefully you have Full Comprehensive. State Farm allows three glass replacements a year with no premium increase. State Farm also allows you to demand OEM if so desired. I have always had State Farm so that is all I know.
